Our highly qualified, specialized therapists provide telemental health services for individuals and couples with a hectic schedule and little time to drive to or from an office. Each therapist specialized in trauma-informed care and multicultural approach. In addition, we are the first practice dedicated to offering EMDR and RO-DBT online in Arizona and overseas.

Anything human is mentionable, and anything mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone."  Fred Rogers

We want you to know that healing doesn’t have to be scary and that YOU are in the driver’s seat in guiding your healing journey. We simply offer guidance on the parts that you don’t know yet. If we do it right, you move on with life and never need a therapist again!

OUR THERAPISTS

"Life changed. Something happened and the way you saw the world was turned on its head. You’re anxious, depressed, irritable, you can’t sleep, you don’t trust anyone, and you feel yourself slipping away. Where you once felt safe, now you look over your shoulder. There is always a worst-case scenario in your head, and whatever happens, you never feel prepared. Stress is harder to deal with than ever now. It’s hard to get close to others. You don’t know whom to trust. You feel yourself putting up walls but don’t know how to stop.

Maybe you’ve even turned to addiction to numb the pain and quiet the feelings. The people around you want you back. YOU want you back. You can feel these behaviors ultimately getting in the way of the life you wish to but stumbling through trying to find a way to fix them is the hard way to go about change. Perhaps it is time to find some guidance.

Life after trauma doesn’t have to feel like a before and after. It takes a little bit of help, some patience with yourself, and some time, but there is life after. You can enjoy life again. Moving on after struggles takes a set of skills that most people haven’t learned- I can teach you what you need to know to move on.

I’m a nationally certified online counselor, which means location won’t be a barrier. In addition, I speak English and Portuguese and am familiar with several cultures: don’t let language, culture, or transportation stop you.

JOYCE MARRIET BAKER
LMHCA, ENGLISH AND PORTUGUESE

"Your surroundings began to shrink as time went on as a result of what unfolded. You were jolted as a direct result of this event. As a child, you were a completely different person you're today; you're paralyzed by anxiety, unable to cope with stress, fearing you are losing control and feeling isolated. There was a time when you could deal with stress better than you can now. Or maybe you thought you were doing well even after what happened to you as a child, but now things started to feel overwhelmed, and you are tired of hiding your emotions as it takes too much energy most of the time.

You have been pounding with the idea that you need help but feel that you should be able to handle anything. Friends do not understand what is happening to you and you don't want to feel you are a burden on their lives. Shame is present and some things you don't have the strength to share with your family or loved ones.

You heard that therapy might help, but you wonder that looks like. Talking with a strange about your most intimate secrets and life experiences sounds daunting. I can help you through this healing path and celebrate all small changes in your life. Maybe it sounds too good to be true, but it is possible with professional guidance and free of judgments.
